1. Who we are
BooksCentral is operated by [legal entity name], [registered address]. These terms govern your use of bookscentral.org and every country site under it.
2. Your account
One account works on every country site. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what is posted from your account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live.
3. Contributions
Book and author pages are built by members. By adding or editing a page, a review, or a question you grant BooksCentral a worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish it on the site. You confirm you own the text and any image you upload, or have permission to use them, and that uploads meet the certification shown on the form. Moderators may edit or remove contributions.
4. Claimed pages
An author or rights holder who proves ownership becomes the sole editor of that page and chooses where its Buy links point. Claims that turn out to be false are reversed and the account may be closed.
5. Paid plans
Author Pro and Premium are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in the currency shown on the Plans page. Cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are described in the Refund policy.
6. Affiliate links and sponsored content
Buy buttons may earn BooksCentral a commission. Sponsored placements are always labelled and never affect BookMARK or AuthorMARK rankings.
7. Acceptable use
No spam, harassment, impersonation, scraping, or attempts to manipulate rankings. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
8. Liability
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, BooksCentral is not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law in [jurisdiction].
